ETHAN QUINTELA

The StOry.

Phase 01
The beginning

In 2020, while pursuing a university degree, I discovered my passion for cutting hair. What started as a side hustle quickly became a defining part of my life.

Phase 02
The hustle

Summers were demanding — six-day weeks working in concrete. My evenings were dedicated to practicing my craft as a barber in a Guelph shop. That period forged a relentless work ethic.

Through four years of university I balanced academics with haircutting. Each haircut was a step closer to my true calling.

Each haircut was a step closer to my true calling.

Phase 03
The turning point

When I graduated in 2024, I knew the degree wasn't going to be my future. An incredible opportunity arose: to join the first-ever cohort at the Glassbox Institute.

Stepping in wasn't just about learning. It was about embracing a new standard of excellence — and a community dedicated to precision.

Phase 04
Full circle

Today I serve as an Educator at the Institute. It's an honor to guide and inspire the next generation of stylists coming into this industry.

My role lets me keep learning, keep growing, and keep raising the standard of professionalism within the craft.
